Savvas Stavrou captures the sense of being young and in love, and untrammelled by conventional gender roles, in his video for Adam French.

SAVVAS STAVROU:

"One of my objectives for this film was to portray sexuality as it is, unbound and non-binary. To present the feeling of being young and being in love, undefined by gender. Our characters are in love because of who they are, because they know each other inside out. We explore what happens when that love begins to hurt. What Adam sings about, this difference between happiness and comfort, that’s relevant to everyone. Here is an insight into what that is like, outside of mass media’s heteronormative portrayal of relationships.

"It was about capturing the intimacy and the contradictions of that. One minute you’re madly in love and the next you can’t stand being with that person or people. There are always doubts and there are always moments in relationships that assure you. I owe everything to my cast for this film - Riley Wolf, Emma Holt and Tylor Deyn. They allowed me access into their mind and hearts and together we were able to improvise and discover the intricacies of sensuality, desire and self-destruction. What you are seeing on screen is part and parcel of the rawness of themselves."
